7 Simple Strategies to Boost Your Social Networking Results

Relationships build business. Networking remains the top way to develop and grow those relationships. It is The Essence of High Performance Marketing . People buy from those they know, like and trust.

Web 2.0 technologies (like social networking sits, wikis, blogs, and skype) make interacting and connecting with people online easy. However, beware that online networking can suck up your time.

These seven strategies can help you get the most out of your online networking.

1. Select three places to start networking over the next 30 days. If you don’t know where to begin, Wikipedia keep a list of the most active social networking sites. www.totcgo.com/wiki

2. Many of these groups give you the opportunity to "promote" yourself through a profile. Put your profile in a Word document and then you can just cut and paste your information. Your basic profile can include:

Your name
Business name
Brief description of your business (2-3 sentences)
Brief bio about yourself (2-4 sentences)
Web address

You’ll want a photo too.

3. Create an email account to use exclusively for social networking purposes. I personally like Google’s gmail.

4. Start a spreadsheet or document to track your username and passwords for your networks.

5. Select three days a week to visit your three social networking sites.

6. Block 30 minutes on your schedule of dedicated time to visit and interact with those sites . Set your timer for 30 minutes and stop when it goes off. Don’t forget to check your email account for friend invites etc.

7. Evaluate the groups after 30 days. Stick with the promising ones and replace ineffective networking site(s) with another one.

Happy Social Networking

PS…

I started a myspace site. Although still a work in progress, feel free to stop by and leave a comment. http://www.myspace.com/timediva
